Our client, Greenoak International School (GIS) in Port Harcourt, Nigeria is looking to appoint a Head of School (Academics) for the September 2009 Academic year.
GIS has a population of over 180 highly motivated students. The school admits children ages 5 years to 16 years from various corners of the globe. GIS operates a hybrid curriculum, consisting of the innovative International Primary Curriculum (IPC), British/American Curricula and the Nigerian curriculum. This provides a balanced education aimed at producing truly intelligent, skillful, motivated, confident and morally sound children.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Academics department of the School
Qualifications
Minimum of 15 years professional experience, with at least 3 years as Head of School (Academics)
Proven leadership experience, with a track record of raising attainment.
Experience with the IPC curriculum is a plus.
Flexibility and clear thinking will be necessary in order to be able to work closely with staff and parents to help ensure that each child is given the opportunity to fulfill their potential.
