Job Description
Job Summary:
The Project and HR Coordinator will serve as a backstop to ACCION’s African projects, providing support to the project management team and administering human resource department matters for the region to enable the staff to function productively.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Human Resource Department Administration (50%)
Assist regional management team in implementation of human resource department policies and procedures;
Control and ensure compliance with human resource department policies and procedures in the region;
Supporting recruitment and contracting activities in the region;
Assist the hub administrator in administering the Ghana hub payroll; and
Ensure compliance of Ghana hub with local labor and income tax laws.
Project Coordination and Support (40%)
Assist in the development and editing of management and donor reports and presentations;
Coordinate regular regional management meetings, training initiatives and field visits;
Review personnel reports to ensure proper coding and compliance with budget;
Support proposal writing and fundraising efforts to finance team’s work; and
Ensure that planning matrices and budgets are updated.
Administrative Support to Program Manager (10%)
Coordinate travel arrangements and logistics; and
Organize meetings and conference calls to include the preparation of agendas & coordinating logistics.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Requirements:
A strong interest in microfinance.
Demonstrated self-initiative and resourcefulness in setting and achieving goals in a timely manner.
Fluency in English and French. Writing skills in both languages.
Capacity to work effectively in teams and in diverse settings.
Previous experience in project management or coordination.
Excellent skills in using Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Knowledge of Deltek project management software desired.
Master degree in Human Resource Management, Business, International Development or another related field and 3 years of relevant work experience or a Bachelor degree and 5 years of relevant work experience.
REMUNERATION:
Salary based on experience and within range for a level 7B position in Ghana established by ACCION.
